Kundapur: Wild buffalo shot, killed by miscreants

Kundapur, May 31: A group of unidentified miscreants are said to have gunned down a four-year-old buffalo at Shankaranarayana here. The matter came to light on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at Doddabellar, Hengavalli in Kundapur on Sunday night. The villagers who found the animal dead on Monday informed the Shankaranarayana forest department and Hengavalli gram panchayat.

The forest department officials, who arrived at the spot, conducted a post mortem on the wild buffalo and buried it.

 

Forest conservator, Lohith, Shankaranarayana forest officer, Chidanandappa, Hengavalli gram panchayat president, Raghuram Shetty Thombattu, forest officials, staff and gram panchayat members were present.
