Udupi: District BJP celebrates PM Modi’s seven years at office

Udupi, Jun 1: The seven year-long rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was celebrated in the district by holding cleanliness drive and blood donation camps by district BJP unit.

“As many as 1,297 service works were held all over the district on May 30 at all the booths in the leadership of various level office bearers, morcha, people representatives and activists,” stated BJP district president Kuyilady Suresh Nayak.

“A total of 170 units of blood were collected by voluntary blood donation camps at various places. Cleanliness drives were held at 34 places. Nearly 280 residences of Covid victims were visited to review the need for help.

“Nearly 25,000 masks, 2,500 hand gloves, 1,057 grocery kits, 940 food kits, 350 litres sanitizers, 357 medical kits and 370 PPE kits are distributed among front line workers and the weak. Four vehicles for creating awareness on Covid were set in motion.

“Emergency aid is being distributed through BJP district helpline and helplines of various mandalas. Suitable guidance is being provided on obtaining vaccines.

“The work of party office bearers, people representatives and activists in this connection is commendable,” he stated in a press release.
