BJP Seeks to Build up Support for Anti-Cattle Slaughter Bill

Bangalore, Aug 22 (PTI):
The state BJP government on Sunday August 22 decided to stage a state-wide agitation from September 1 demanding that President Prathibha Patil approves the anti-cattle slaughter Bill.

Briefing reporters after a state office-bearers meeting, party spokesman C T Ravi said demonstrations will be organised in all 224 assembly segments in support of the demand till September five. "On September 6, a day-long dharna will be held here (to raise the pitch further on the bill)", he said, adding Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, state BJP President K S Eshwarappa and office-bearers of all constituencies would participate in the protest.

"On the bill, we have decided that there is no let up in our resolve," Eshwarappa said. Opposition parties in Karnataka - Congress and JDS - have expressed strong opposition to the 'Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill, 2010,' which was passed by both Houses of the State Legislature.

The bill was forwarded to the President by Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj for her assent. Ravi also said the party's yuva morcha would take out a "Save Kashmir" yatra from Bidar and another from Kodagu, after September 6, which will culminate in conventions in Dharwad and Mangalore respectively, opposing any autonomy for Kashmir.

The BJP will also organise "Vikasa Yatra" in all assembly segments in October ahead of taluk and zila panchayat polls to highlight the development works undertaken by the two-year-old Yeddyurappa government, he said.

Even plants can feel pain .  They further argue that plants cannot feel pain, therefore killing a plant is a lesser crime as compared to killing an animal. Today science tells us that even plants can feel pain. But the cry of the plant cannot be heard by the human being. This is due to the inability of the human
ear to hear sounds that are not in the audible range i.e. 20 Hertz to 20,000 Hertz. Anything
below and above this range cannot be heard by a human being. A dog can hear up to 40,000
    Hertz.

Thus there are silent dog whistles that have a frequency of more than 20,000 Hertz
and less than 40,000 Hertz. These whistles are only heard by dogs and not by human beings.
The dog recognizes the masters whistle and comes to the master. There was research done
by a farmer in U.S.A. who invented an instrument which converted the cry of the plant so that
it could be heard by human beings. He was able to realize immediately when the plant itself
cried for water. Latest researches show that the plants can even feel happy and sad. It can
    also cry.

Certain religions have adopted pure vegetarianism as a dietary law because they are totally
against the killing of living creatures. If a person can survive without killing any living creature,
I would be the first person to adopt such a way of life. In the past people thought plants were
lifeless. Today it is a universal fact that even plants have life. Thus their logic of not killing
living creatures is not fulfilled even by being a pure vegetarian

    If the Christian majority States

This bill is a big Farce.
BJP is trying to put the real issues of Bad Governance, Beggar deaths, Reddy, Hallapa and Bachhu Gowda in the back burner. This government now wants to mislead the Hindu community to believe that only BJP cares for their COW god.
If they had they would have done the following things first:
    1. Build cattle sheds in every district of Karnataka where the poor farmer can leave his old and ageing cattle to be taken care by the government.
    2. Ensure minimum support price for cattle given to these sheds which other wise the farmer would have got after giving away his cow to the butcher.
We know for sure that Government has no such plans. Now what will happen?
    1. Poor farmers will have to abandon their old cattle in the jungle only to be eaten up by wild animals.
    2. Abandon the cattle on Highways only to get killed by motorist or kill the motorist.
    3. Poor god fearing Hindu farmer who cannot feed his own family will now commit suicide.
I hope the President of India intervenes.

    Mr. Shanthirai Prabhu: your logic
is highly commendable. If different governments try to impose
their code of religion and eating
habit on the people, that will
    turn like an anarchy.

Here is the serious question. Who is valuable, whether animals or
    human beings? Did God create
    animals above human beings or
    vice versa?

Some people are trying to quote
from the Bible. In the New Testament, it says clearly not to
judge anybody by the food they eat.
It is up to the person to eat
whatever they want to eat, after
    giving thanks unto God.

    In the old Testament, certain
    types of animals, certain birds
    and other creatures were not
allowed to consume due to the
    health and hygienic reasons.
In every feast in the old Testament
time, cows, bulls and sheeps were
    used. Quranic restrictions of
    certain meat consumption is close
to 99% of the Old Testament laws.

Many of you are so frustrated in life, you believe that killing of animlas is gratifying. You have brains which is rusted, cannot think beyond certain distance, have ears which cannot hear whats the truth. EVEn Bible has said killing animals is sin. But the ardent believers in bible are shamlessly arguing in favour killing animals for food. This is hypocracy. Grow up man lend your ears to the pain of animals, lend your eyes to see the suffering of the animals. I shudder to think that in your next birth you would be born as animals and would be killed by your decendenst for food.

Now coming back to BJP, there is no need for BJP to seek your votes, we wiil vote them to power this time as well. Your votes would not make any impact on BJP. so stop blabbering and get alife.

BJP is not interested in overall development plans in Karnataka. Instead they want to involve people in Yatras.India in order to become Super Power, really needs millions of man power to achieve our target. No where in the world politicians have time like we do the mockery of various unproductive issues. I cannot understand what for this cow-yatra and for instance to handle the Kashmir problem, the central government is quite cabale enough. Politcal leaders must not waste their given opportunity of ruling the government constructively for 5 years.

It is unfortunate that illiterate people are dragged into unwanted deeds of political melas. It is high time we concentrate on important development projects. We need good roads, sanitation and clean drinking water. Finall I must say beef is universally accepted protein rich food. Our military cannot do away with beef. Corrupt politicians should be punished for snatching away the rights of common people. Only secular governments are very Tolerant and dfinitely can give good governace in par with other developing countries.

I just wonder India's leading mechanized slaughter-house is Al-Kabeer, is located in Andhra. Al-Kabeer, a big beef exporter, is owned by a Hindu. What a paradox isn’t it guys.
