Mangaluru: Eco-friendly mask competition held at Infant Mary Parish Bajjodi

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 1: To encourage and motivate creativity in parishioners, an eco-friendly mask competition was organised by Infant Mary Parish in May.

It is common thinking that the uses of coconut shells, plantain leaves, arecanut leaves and other material available in nature are limited. The parishioners of Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi, proved otherwise with their creative imagination.

A large number of contestants enthusiastically participated in this competition by making masks of different materials available in the environment with varied ideas. They showcased their talents through their special artwork masks which ranged from simple leaves in the garden to extraordinary ones made from different parts of coconut, banana and areca nut trees.

The winners of first, second and third places will be awarded cash prizes once the results are announced. The artistic creativity in these special masks that were displayed online gained appreciation of all in the parish community.
