Puttur: Customer tries to rape medical shop employee, gets caught

Puttur, Jun 1: In a report received from Ishwaramangala in the taluk on Tuesday June 1, a person who visited a medical store to buy medicines tried to rape the woman employee of the store.

Ibrahim Kukkaje, a 58-year-old resident of the village reportedly tried to rape the lady. He noticed that the lady was alone at the medical shop. He gate-crashed into the medical store and tried to rape the lady.

The lady got frightened and raised an alarm, at which people from nearby rushed there. They caught hold of the accused and handed him over to the police.

The person was taken away by the personnel of Sampya police station. He has been charged of rape attempt.
