Bantwal, Jun 2: In a tragic incident, the son of a covid victim collapsed and died during the final rites of his father.

Bailaguthu Koppala, Punacha gram resident, KPT Professor Bhujanga Shetty died of Covid on Wednesday. His son Shailesh Shetty collapsed and was sick during the last rites of his father.

Shailesh Shetty was rushed to Puttur hospital but died without responding to treatment.

His house members and villagers are stunned by the incident.

    Very sad incident. What a blow to the family. We could have saved many lives if proper steps our leaders would have taken. My sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
