Bengaluru, Jun 2: The task force created by the state government on the steps to be taken to face the Covid third Wave under the chairmanship of leading cardiac surgeon, Dr Deviprasad Shetty will submit its report to chief minister B S Yediyurappa in a week.
TheĀ chiefĀ minister on Wednesday held discussions with Dr Shetty and the other members of theĀ task force on the precautionary measures to be taken, infrastructure facilities to be created, the treatment facilities as well as the manpower and medicines necessary.
TheĀ chiefĀ minister said the state government will take necessary steps after receiving the report of the task force.

Deputy chief minister and state Covid task forceĀ chief, Dr C N Ashwath Narayan,Ā health andĀ medical educationĀ minister Dr K Sudhakar, women and childĀ welfare minister, Shashikala Jolle, chief secretary, P Ravikumar, chief ministerās additional chief secretary, Dr E V Ramana Reddy, health and family welfareĀ department additionalĀ chief secretary, Jawaid Akhtar and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
Meanwhile, the deputy chief minister, Dr Ashwath Narayan, who visited MulabaagiluĀ in Kolar district later to inaugurate the Covid Care Centre set up in the old court building in the town, said the state government is making all efforts to gear up for facing the possible CovidĀ third wave.
The Covid Care Centre established in the old court building is equipped with oxygenated beds to ensure better care of the Covid patients.
District in-charge minister, Aravind Limbavali, MP Munisway, State Handicrafts Corporation chairman, Dr Beluru Raghavendra Shetty, MLA Nagesh, MLC Narayana Swamy and others attended the function.
