Kasargod: Daily wage labourer drowns in pond while taking bath

Kasargod, Jun 2: A daily wager hailing from Hassan drowned in a pond at Thrikaripur here on Wednesday, June 2.

The deceased is identified as Ramesh (56), who was a daily wager residing along with the family in a rented house in Thrikaripur.

His mortal remains were found in the pond near his residence. Reportedly Ramesh had drowned when he went to a take bath in the pond. The fire and emergency services staff retrieved the body from the pond.

Later, his mortal remains were sent to Kannur Government Medical College's mortuary for an autopsy. The relatives of Ramesh were informed about the incident.

Chandera police station staff have registered the case.
