They behave as is they they are the custodians of the Nation. They think that even if they do some favor to the state they will be targeted by others.We also should not expect the same from them. As long as the interest of Maharashtrians are taken care of in Belagavi and they are not discriminated, there should not be any issue on the border. There are many Maharashtrians who have married  Kannadigas and vice versa and are very happy. Both Maharashtrians and Kannadigas at the border should live so peacefully that they should be model to all the Indians and it is possible if politics takes a backseat.

All of us who are living in Mumbai, have we not experienced the hospitality and warmth of Maharashtrians? Whenever I am in Mumbai, the neighbours have never failed to send me puran polies among other delicacies. All our duplicate keys for the entrance door, grille gate are with our neighbours and their similar keys are with us. We feel quite at home with our neighbours in Mumbai. I am sure in Belagavi, the people are comfortable with each other. May God Bless the people of Maharashtra and Karnataka so that they live peacefully in the years to come.

It is well written by some comments. Besides this I want to write some of my feelings here. Mr. Thackery have you even asked yourself what is means truly to be happy? You may be tempted to work around the clock,year round but you must take a break from the border tension. First upon who gave you power to sack such a Union Law Minister Mr. Veerappa Moily? I am sorry to say that Belgaum was always part of Karnataka right before the states were formed. Then why should Belgaum go to Maharastra? Bal Thackery have to work other than fighting.

I have many friends working in Belgaum they said there was absolutely no tension between Kannadiga and Marathi communities. Kannada and Marathi peoples living peacefully and united since so many years. Why can't these leader like Thackery be? It is a time to ask who are we fighting against and what are we fighting for?

It is heartening to read the comments. All Kannadigas think alike and shouts with one voice whenever there is a state border issue. Then why some people try to divide the society in the name of religion? We were all united when Mumbai was attacked (26/11), then why Bal Thackeray wants to see Belgaum as a part of Maharashtra. People from Karnataka, Kerala, Bihar, UP and all the states fought with terrorists to save Mumbai. Why then Bal Thackeray did not say only Marati Manus (Shiv Sena) will fight with terrorists? This man is not sane and needs treatment along with other few insane leaders (SRS and MNS) in the best interest of Maharashtra.

Let Belgaum be with Karnataka state as its administered better by kannanda people and peoploe are happy there. I have lived in Belgaum during the height of border clashes. Though plenty of Marathi speaking people live there it doesnot give anybody any right to seek the transfer of such beautiful district to Maharashtra. I have seen functioning of Maharashtra Government from Mumbai, though good but not better then Karnataka. Most of your minister cannot speak other than Marathi. This is a hypocracry when you you want Maharashtra to be split into two states, Maharshtara & vidharba but want belgaum. is this possible and administratively feasible?

You are just a normal citizen and there are certain pathways to file your complaints. If you have problem in you residential area, then please contact the District commissioner or any government officials. If you have problem with the state rule, then please contact the Chief Ministers office. If you still have more problems with the Interstate border policies, then please do contact The Ministry office ,which is in New Delhi. I am pretty sure that, these information should help you make your point. And intentions to pull out Kanadiga's or Bihari's or any other citizen of India from the state or country is equivalent to practising discriminations against Indian's in foreign countries/SC or ST discrimination or any kind of existing discriminations. Almost every citizen of the country pays Income tax, Vat and several other tax for state Tax office. Which is the part of Indian Tax office. So I don't thinking there is any for of action where the law is broke. I think you should seek good advise from your Lawyer immediately. I strongly believe, that by any kind of abuse or discriminatory act from your part may lead or give the right for any state people to Sue you in the legal system.

Conclusion
Your Not the father of the Nation. so Shut the duck up and let people live life in way they want. Don't you remember days back we celebrated Independence day.

I pity a man who in his old age talks about border when the inner core is filled with slums and poverty lines.

Because of this dirty politics, a decade back, Mumbai lost all the investments to Noida. Then in the second wave, it lost a dear investment of IT sector to Hbad and Blore. Now even the competitive Hbad is also losing to Blore.

Then last year, the circastic comments on Ambani brothers made them to think twice on moving industries to Gujarath and Blore.

Talk talk until the wind pipe has definitive shape to utter the sound. By the time, the muscle/nerves loses its control, Bangalore would have already jumpred to third position tailing Chennai.

Somehow one should appreciate Chennai politicians. Despite the political differences, they managed very well to attract investments that would have perhaps gone otherwise to Noida etc., Today, all the mobile phone industries, automobile etc industries are in the state of TN, just adjacent to Bangalore!!!

The defence, aeronautical, Space, Heavy electricals, Earth-movers, IT, etc coountcore industries are in the epicentre of Blore, and Mumbai can only run fine calibre Hotel industries, and prehaps few ports, which would be soon outdated by Mangalore and Cochin.

God bless you. Now you can point to scholarly V.Moily, but you are noway near to our dear Moily who has hundreds of publications.
