Kundapur, Jun 3: After the scooty he was riding went out of his control on the evening of Tuesday June 1, Isyaberu Anil Shetty (27) from Kamalashile village in the taluk, lost his life. Pillion rider Subhash Shetty (47), suffered serious injuries.
Anil was unmarried. He used to do line sales of food items at Puttur in Dakshina Kannada, where his father's house is located. As there is lockdown, he was on a visit to the house of his maternal grandparents at Isyaberu when the tragedy happened.
The road at Kamalashile Kalanji culvert bend is serpentine and hence poses grave danger. The locals said that the dangerous curves on this road have taken away the life of another victim.
