Bantwal, Jun 3: AMR warned residents near the river to take precautions as water stored at the Shambhoor dam is being left slowly into the river below.

The water is being left out from June 3 for the annual maintenance of AMR private limited dam gate and electric plant. The water level at the Netravati river below the dam is likely to rise. Therefore, residents living on both sides of the river are requested to take care of themselves and their pets. The level of water on the dam is likely to be low. Therefore, water pump users are also requested to take precautions.

AMR in the press release warned residents by the riverside at Narikombu, Balthila, Sarapady, Kadeshivalaya, Navura, Sajipamunnur and Thumbe gram panchayat limits.
