Udupi, Aug 25: “Brahmshree Narayan Guru has propagated universal brotherhood to all mankind”, said former union minister B Janardhan Poojary.
 
He was speaking after inaugurating the Billava community building in Kaup, built by the local Billava Sangh, on Wednesday August 25. The 165th birth anniversary of Guru Narayan was celebrated across the district by the community.  

Poojary emphasized that the yellow flag given by Guru Narayan to the Billava community does not belong to any political party.  “The community will not tolerate any form of sacrileges to the yellow flag,” he stressed.
 
National award winning teacher Malpe Raghavendra, social activist G B Salian, Nirmiti Kendra promoter Arun Kumar, Kaup Billava Sangh president Shekar Salian, Kaup block Congress president Gangadhar Suvarna, KMF director Kaup Divakar Shetty, women’s wing president Savitri Ganesh, and Seva Dal president Anil Kumar were present on the occasion.
 
Kaup Billava Sangh chief secretary Madhav R Palan welcomed the gathering while Shivanna Anchan compered the programme. Somanath Salian proposed the vote of thanks.

    IT IS REALYY IMMENSE PLEASURE THAT BILLAVAS ARE UNITING AND PROGRESSING. RAGAVENDRA MALPE & HIS TEAM IS DOING MARVELOUS JOB. BILLAVAS MAY BE IN DIFFERENT POLITICAL PARTY BUT AS CASTE THEY ARE BILLAVAS WE SHOULD NOT THINK OF PETTY POLITICS BUT COMMUNITY AS ONE ENTITY.DONOT FORGET OUR SOCIETY IS TREATING AS BILLAVAS AS STILL BACKWARD CLASS INSTEAD OF FIGHTING THIS WE ARE FIGHTING AMONG OURSELVES. SANDEEP PLEASE DONOT FORGET JANARDANA POOJARY CONTRIBUTED A LOT TO THE COMMUNITY. DAYS TO COME U SHOULD ALSO CONTRIBUTE TO THE KITTY OF OUR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.

    Mr.Sandeep dont bring politics all the places.We only respect Mr.Poojary for one of the leaders from our community ,if you support BJP that is your personal matter dont bring all the community .

    Brotherhood of mankind is the real teaching of any religion. The rest of the teachings are for self disciplining and to walk the life's journey with ethical values with the fear of god. If you understand the teaching of Islamic, the believers will neither kill any innocent people nor commit suicide, and the least to kill others. The so called rightists, fundamentalists, terrorists are all selfish exploiter of religion for their benefits and nothing to do with the teaching of their religion.

    Good function,really appreciate it..OM NAMO NARAYANAYA!!!.
    I believe that Mr poojari should understand that in Poojary community they dont tolerate eating beef,but not MR Poojari not following it according to the teachings of Bhramashree Narayana Guru..and instead he is going against it.Mr Poojari u were a good man but do not have double standards.Dont try to fool minorities.
