Bangalore: Stability Crisis Grips Ministers – 22 Legislators Come Together

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Aug 31: As the oft-postponed state cabinet expansion-cum-reshuffle is expected to happen shortly, butterflies have started fluttering in the stomachs of many, who feel threatened by the development. The independent legislators, who had bargained hard for their ministerships in exchange for extending support to the BJP, and those who became ministers after falling prey to ‘Operation Kamala’, along with their close supporters, have formed an alliance of necessity, in conformity with the adage, ‘birds of the same feather flock together’.

It is learnt that the 22 legislators have decided to act in unison, even if one among them is made to sacrifice his position. Reportedly, this group has the support of a few BJP MLAs. It is said that this group, which includes eight ministers, has the tacit support of excise minister, M P Renukacharya.

As a first step, this group is expected to approach the Chief Minister to question him on the propriety of stripping minister, D Sudhakar, an independent MLA, of his social welfare portfolio, in relation to the deaths of beggars at the Beggars Rehabilitation Centre in the city. The group is expected to tell the CM that he could have given the minor irrigation portfolio, presently vested with Govind Karjol, to Sudhakar, instead of the inconsequential muzrai department.

The consternation of the group is growing by the day because of conflicting media reports that have bee speculating about the names of ministers who are likely to be dripped, and the long silence owned by the CM on this issue. The ministers in the group say that the officials have not been responding to their instructions properly, after finding them in the list of ministers expected to be dropped. They also are planning to squarely ask the CM about their fate, to clear the air of uncertainty over their future once and for all.

I really admire Mr. Atal who ruled for few years. Even though he was misguided by his followers but he made it happen by some of his good ministers like Mr. George. In Karnataka Mr. CM must always remember he came to power by bribing and corrupt way. If you spit when watch the sky it won’t go to sky but it fall on your face. This is what happening with CM and BJP government. No leadership. No Sincerity, No honest and No responsible. Every BJP MLA’s and Ministers are acting like they are more than CM and no one have control. It is really unfortunate to Karnataka State to have such useless Government. We must stop this type ruling and must kick out such government.

    Dear Mr Louise D'souza

You seem to have wrong information about MUD.In Kannada Language it is known as Kesaru. Also you must be familiar with the proverb"Kai Kesaru aadare bai mosaru"
So the Mud does not mean dirt or filth.Such a beautiful flower grows only in Mud.It is Nature's choice.
Unfortunately, if at all Lotus gets wilted prematurely,it is only because of grade three people who are in good number in and around 'Lotus" with their selfish, greedy motive to poison the Mud Kindly do not blame the Mud or Lotus.

Manvit Mangaluru & Loknath Iran, I am very proud to be supporter of Congress. Though they are corrupt, they did not hurt the sentiments of minorities and let us live in peace and harmony. I am very much happy to see the downfall of evil & it is certain that evil will win for sometime, but, its downfall is imminent. Long live Congress.

The petals of Lotus is about to wither & fall. 'Kissa Kursi Ka' has reaching an end. Two and half years passed in uncertainity and trying to save their own chair. Development of State and the interests of common men has remained only a 'hollow promise' & yet there are some 'moorka' (stupid) people who hang on to scorched Lotus. Jai ho Jai ho Jai ho.
