Mangalore, Aug 31: It is time for yet another Srikrishna Janmashtami and Mosaru Kudike celebration at Kadri. To heighten the celebration zing, Kadri Cricketers are back again with Geetha Melodies Star Nite, a musical evening hosting a galaxy of movie stars at Kadri Ground here on the day of mosaru kudike, Thursday September 2 at 6.30 pm.

With a crowd of over one lac, the show has grow in reputation over the years. Kadri Cricketers, a youth social service organization completing five eventful years, this year will present to Mangaloreans, Kannada actor Darshan as the main attraction of the promised fun evening. Joining him are our very own Manikanth Kadri, a promising young music director and Karthik, playback singer of Ale ale....fame. Adding the much needed chirpiness to the show will be VJ Anushree of Zee Kannada fame.



The stage programme that will be held at 8 pm will witness district in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar, Ronald Colaco, chairman, Federation of Karnataka Christians' Association, Seemanth Kumar Singh, police commissioner, P Jairam Hande, general manager, Karnataka Bank, A Sadanand Shetty, chairman, Shreedevi Education Trust, Devanand Shetty, managing director, Dix Shipping Company, Manjunath Bhandary, chairman, Bhandary Foundation, Prakash Shetty, chairman, MRG Group, Srikar Prabhu, president, BJP, Suresh Ballal, former president, Mangalore Urban Development Authority, Rakesh Malli, president, INTUC, Dakshina Kannada district, Diwakar K, former mayor, Mangalore City Corporation and Rathnakar Jain of Jain Travels as chief guests.

The Star Nite organized by the Kadri Cricketers previously has had the distinction of having Golden Star Ganesh and Roobaroo fame playback singer Naresh Iyer participate at the event apart from star attractions such as music director Guru Kiran, actresses Pooja Gandhi, Radhika Pandit, Sitara Vaidya, actors crazy among youth namely Diganth, Tarun, Dhyan aka Sameer Dattani, Yash youth director Harsha and playback singers Avinash Chebi and teenage sensation Esther Noronha.

Further, more than 300 local and outstation artistes have performed in the past leaving the audience entertained. Great display of sound and lights with dazzling stage are the highlights of the show.


About Kadri Cricketers

It is a youth social service organization that has successfully completed half a decade. Apart from organizing the event, Star Nite to mark mosaru kudike, to unite the people and celebrate the religious fervour, the organization at other times of the year indulges in reaching out to the needy. The organization on the day of Narakachaturdashi distributes 5 kgs of rice each to 350 families of Kadri and surrounding areas. Further, the volunteers are always ready to donate blood to the needy and also pool in to provide infrastructure to institutions such as schools, among others.

    I always enjoy kadri mosarukudike.especially the entertaining programs by the kadri cricketers.I really miss this great occasion as one of my dear friend Mani is the star atraction of this event.All the best for the event and to Mani..cheers buddy.
