Sharjah: 17 arrested for trespassing into nature reserves

Sharjah, Jun 27: 17 persons have been taken into custody for trespassing into nature reserves in violation of measures put in place to protect the sites. 24x7 inspection and monitoring campaigns on the reserves to protect the wildlife found within.

Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority expressed gratitude to the teams working 24/7 to protect the nature reserves and help its wildlife thrive.

She added entering without an official permit from the Environment and Protected Areas Authority will be subject to a fine of Dh5,000.
