Kasargod: One dead, two seriously injured after KSRTC bus, car collide

Kasargod, Jul 6: In an accident that occurred on the night of Monday July 5 at Kanhangad near here between a KSRTC bus and car, one person died and two suffered serious injuries.

The deceased is identified as Ali (32), resident of Kumble Arikaadi. Seriously injured Ali (38), resident of Kumble is admitted at a private hospital in Mangaluru. Both were travelling in the car.

The car was badly mangled in the incident. Five passengers in the bus sustained minor injuries. The bus was plying from Nileshwar to Kanhangad while the Innova car was moving from Kumble to Kannur.

Fire service personnel, police and civilians removed the inmates of car who were stuck inside and took them to the hospital. Traffic was blocked for more than one hour on national highway due to this accident.

Hosadurga police arrived on the spot and undertook investigation.
