Bengaluru: Second PU results by July 20 – Preparations by board in full swing

Bengaluru, Jul 9: The state government has taken the decision of promoting all students of second PU of last academic year without examination. Even for the repeaters, the same decision stands good. The exams for private students will be conducted next month.

The PU board said that though they will promote all students of second PU, various yardsticks will be used to arrive at the results and marks. It announced that the results will be declared before July 20.

It is learnt that the marks will be given based on the assessments of SSLC, first PU and second PU scores. The department has clarified that 45% of marks will be from SSLC and first PU, while the remaining 10% will be considered from second PU.

The state government has clarified to the high court that repeater students will get 5% grace marks along with 35 pass marks.

The high court has given instructions to the state government that examinations for private students should be conducted by August 31 and results to be declared by September 20.

The results of SSLC and first PU can be obtained on SATs website (sts.Karnataka.gov.in). SSLC and first PU students have time till July 10 to check their results. If there are any discrepancies in the marks, the same should be brought to the notice of the respective college authorities by July 12.
