Bengaluru, Jul 10: Karnataka on Saturday, Jul 10 registered 2,162 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 37,141. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally is 452.
As many as 48 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Friday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 5 deaths, the death toll so far has risen to 35,779.
The state recorded 2,879 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 27,96,377.
So far, Karnataka has seen 28,69,320 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.48% while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.22%.
As many as 2,54,76,197 people have received vaccination so far.
