Bengaluru, Jul 11: Karnataka on Sunday, Jul 11 registered 1,978 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 36,737. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally is 433.
As many as 56 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 8 deaths, the death toll so far has risen to 35,835.
The state recorded 2,326 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 27,98,703.
So far, Karnataka has seen 28,71,298 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.24% while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.83%.
As many as 2,56,10,929 people have received vaccination so far.
