Bengaluru, Jul 18: The verbal duel between Sandalwood director, Indrajit Lankesh and actor, Darshan with regards to the assault on waiter at Hotel Sandesh The Prince in Mysuru, is getting tensed day by day.
Darshan had challenged the manliness of Indrajit in a press conference at Mysuru and asked him to release the video of the assault. In reply, Indrajit had said that there is no need of proving his manliness and Darshan has misunderstood his term 'Goondagiri' in a different manner.
Indrajit invited Darshan to vow his statement of not having assaulted the waiter in hotel as well as calling Arunakumari to his farm house. Indrajit said, “Darshan is disorientated and that is why he is speaking in this manner. I have never said that Darshan is uneducated. Dr Rajkumar studied only till fourth grade. But his knowledge, cinematic presence and ethics are at universal level. I have just said that Dr Rajkumar’s ideals should be model for others.”
Indrajit further said, “Did you beat the waiter or not? Is it right on your part to beat a financially poor boy. That is why I asked to you to tender apology. Did you not call Aruna Devi to your farmhouse? If your answering in the negative for both questions that let me ask you to vow the same in Dharmasthala. Whole Karnataka knows why you called lawyer in the matter of your wife. This is not reel story but real story.”
“I have discussed with senior lawyers with regard to calling the witnesses and presenting them before the concerned. I will also cooperate with the police department in the investigation. This is serious matter. I had said that celebrities should not use words like bludgeoning of someone’s head or stabbing. But the words which you have used today in your statement shows your culture and ethics. Cinegoers do not like an actor only for his skills in acting but they see his or her personality also. Darshan should know that first,” said Indrajit.
Concluding his statement, Indrajit said, “Lot of good has happened after I brought the drug scandal of Sandalwood to light. Why Darshan has to get angry on that matter? Now the matter of property of others is coming out. Darshan is speaking because he is scared that many other crucial things might be revealed in near future.”
