Bengaluru, July 19: Deputy Chief Minister and State Covid Task Force Head Dr C N Ashwath Narayan said a high-tech diagnostic centre, capable to detecting all kinds of diseases, will be established in Ramanagara district soon so as to avoid the trouble of people rushing to Bengaluru for diagnostic purposes.
He was speaking after dedicating the modern CT Scan machine donated by Toyota Kirloskar Company from its CSR funds at the Ramanagara district hospital on Monday. Praising the Toyota Kirloskar Company for coming forward to help in improving the health infrastructure, Dr Narayan said the State Government is taking steps to provide better healthcare facilities in all taluk hospitals as well as primary health centres.
Ramanagara district will emerge as the best district in ensuring health care facilities, he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister said efforts are being made to improve the educational institutions and other facilities in the district at the same time of ensuring potable drinking water supply system.
Dr Narayana said measures will be taken in a speedy manner to set up a Bangalore University Complex in the town and with regard to the shifting of Rajiv Gandhi Health University Administrative Center to Ramanagara.
All developments will be taken up after the appointment of a new vice-chancellor, he said.
Vikram Gulati, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Governance, Toyota Kirloskar Company said the company is committed to extending all possible help to the local communities as per their emerging needs by joining hands with the Government for better impact.
TKM has handed over 130 oxygen concentrators to the State Government and provided Ambu bags, monitors, oximeters, glucometers, masks, sanitizers, and other essential materials to the District Health Office of Ramanagara for their immediate requirements.
It also extended help to ensure maximum reach of the vaccination drive by enabling transportation facility for the Health Department of Ramanagara District, he said.
Further, TKM is setting up an oxygen generating plant at Community Health Centre (CHC) in Bidadi, near Bangalore. The company is also supporting the construction of a modern CHC at Bidadi to benefit the local communities, he stated.
World Heritage Centre in birthplace of Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji
The stone laying ceremony for the construction of a world-class Heritage Centre and other developmental works in Bananduru village, near Bidadi of Ramanagara District, the birthplace of late Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, the former seer of Sri Adichunchangiri Mutt, was performed in presence of Sri Nirmalanadanatha Swamiji, on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Narayana, who is also the district in-charge minister said, the blue map of the world heritage centre is ready and it would be constructed in line with the Sri Beluru Mutt established by Swami Vivekananda.
He said the government had announced Rs 25 crore in the budget of 2019-20 for the overall development of Bananduru. This will be developed as a model village by taking up underground drainage, drinking water and other works.
Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji chose education as his workspace and believed that society could be empowered only through the dissemination of knowledge. He made education accessible for the poor by establishing several institutions in rural parts.
Realizing the importance of the creation of a healthy society, he set up hospitals across the state. He also started residential schools for the blind, orphanages, old age homes to serve the society, Dr Narayana explained.
Swamiji was a forerunner in introducing socio developmental projects. The devotees and followers of Swamiji as a community should develop the potential to achieve accomplishments without seeking the government’s support. However, if the followers are ready to go ten steps, the government is willing to help to take them a thousand steps further, Dr Narayana said.
