Bengaluru: Wall collapse due to rain claims lives of siblings

Bengaluru, Jul 21: A young man and his younger sister were killed after the compound wall of a house in Nelamangala town came crashing on them due to heavy rainfall.

The brother-sister duo of Venugopal (22) and Kavya (22) were sleeping in their house when the compound wall which had soaked in rain and got wet, collapsed. Both of them got buried under the debris and died instantly. Two others suffered serious injuries and were hospitalised.

This incident happened on Monday night. The compound wall that was over 15 feet in height, had been built very near to their house.
