Udupi, Jul 21: ‘Agochara Jala’, the Kannada version of ‘The Art of Invisible: Protect yourself and your family’, authored by Jyothsna Kasu, was unveiled at Udupi press club here on Wednesday July 21.
The book is translated to Kannada by Vishwas Bhardwaj.
Author Jyothsna Kasu said, “The highlights of this book are recent incidents in the cyber world to create awareness among people about cyber privacy laws. It carries a lot of data which reveals the usage of internet and types of cyber-crimes around the world. During this digital era, people should be aware of the dark web, cyber privacy, hacking etc.”
The book has two sections, the first section with six chapters talks about a few technical jargons in the world of cyber security, malware attack, ransomware, sniffing, phishing, hacking, adware, shoulder surfing, eavesdropping, etc and the second section with four chapters is about the fast-evolving technological changes: cyber-attack and survival, social engineering, future crimes, deep web, deep fakes, cyber privacy and cyber laws available in the US, UK, and other countries.
“After the lockdown, we were locked inside the four walls. We relied more on online purchasing, online market, connecting our networks, sharing our data through social media but no one knows about the dark face of the digital world. Digital trends will keep on changing, so people should keep themselves updated,” said Jyothsna.
