Udupi: Eight held for slaughter of cattle, beef transportation

Udupi, Jul 23: Kandlur police sub-inspector of police, Niranjan Gowda, led a police team which raided a spot where cows were slaughtered and beef was being prepared. The house of Riyan, resident of J M Road Kandlur in Kavarady village was used as a slaughterhouse in this case. The team arrested eight people.

The arrested persons are Aftab alias Godda, Karani Bilal, Karani Nadeem, Riyan, Salman, Tanveej, and Arshad. Two cattle, eight hooves of the cattle and other equipment were seized from the spot.
