Kundapur: Driver who assaulted head constable held

Kundapur, Jul 27: It is reported that Wilfred D'Souza (50), head constable of Shankaranarayana police station, had objected to the fact that people seated in a car were travelling without wearing masks as per rules. He along with other staff, was conducting checks of vehicles passing by in front of Shankaranarayana police station on Sunday July 25.

It is said that angered by the questions raised by the head constable, driver of the car, Idinabba Sahid from Konaje Mangaluru, assaulted the head constable. He was arrested and a case was registered in Shankaranarayana police station. The driver was produced in court.
