Mysuru, Jul 27: As he did not have money to buy books and clothes to get admitted into school, a boy, out of frustration, tried to end his life by consuming insecticide. The incident happened at Gandathur-Hosalli village within Beejanahalli police station limits on Monday July 26.

Ayyappa (14), son of Jayamma from Hosalli consumed insecticide. He has been admitted into the district hospital at Mysuru where he is being treated. It is said that Ayyappa knew he needed clothes, books etc to pursue further education and there will be other expenses, but it will put further burden on his mother who already works very hard as a coolie. He therefore decided that ending life is the best option that is in the best interests of himself and his mother.
