Kundapur: Two-year-old falls into river, dies

Kundapur, Jul 27: In a tragic incident that occurred at Karkikali of Uppunda in the taluk, a two-year-old child, who got up from sleep and started walking on the bank of the river that is flowing by the side of the house and fell into it and died.

Sarvada is the unfortunate son of Vishwanatha Kharvi, is the one who lost his life. Parents had gone to Uppunda market on the afternoon of Monday, July 26 after making the two year old son sleep inside the house.

The toddler suddenly got up from sleep and started walking on the bank of rivulet Edamavina Hole. He fell into it after losing balance and drowned. The mortal remains of the child were retrieved from rivulet at break waters near Uppunda-Karkikali.

A case in this connection is registered at Byndoor police station.
