Mangaluru: Konkani Natak Sabha launches its new website

Mangaluru, Jul 28: After many days of hard work and dedication The Konkani Natak Sabha, Mangaluru, launched its new website on July 26 at Auditorium Sanidhya, St Aloysius College here. The URL of new website is www.konkaninataksabha.com

The goal of this website is to reconnect with the dramatists, actors, composers, members and well wishers who have served The Konkani Natak Sabha for 70 years. The website also offers updates regarding the renovation of Don Bosco Hall and allows its members to connect with other members of the organization. Hereby, the executive committee members request its well wishers to support and promote Konkani art and Culture by being generous towards Don Bosco Hall with the befitting contribution.

The launching ceremony of the website was presided over by Fr Melwyn Pinto SJ, rector, St Aloysius College. After launching the website he highlighted that the service rendered to mother land and mother tongue is always considered greatest and it helps to accomplish success in future endeavours. The guest of honour Shalet Pinto, advocate and president of Dakshina Kannada District Congress Women’s Committee stated that the launching of website is a great idea to reconnect and reach the people who have served The Konkani Natak Sabha for seventy years.

Another guest of honour Dr Fr Praveen Martis SJ, principal, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, appreciated the service rendered by Konkani Natak Sabha for promoting the culture and art of Konkani community and assured that the Jesuit community would continue to support for the same cause.

Fr Paul Melwyn D'Souza, Capuchin, the president of KNS, welcomed the gathering. Liston D'Souza, the vice president, briefed about the renovation work of Don Bosco Hall. Floyd D Mello, the secretary rendered vote of thanks. Raymond D' Cunha compered the programme. Gerald Concesso, the treasurer and Praveen Rodrigues, the joint secretary, were also present.
