Udupi: Two foundations donate medical equipments to Manipal Kasturba Hospital

Udupi, Jul 29: Sahaya Hasta Manipal Lions Charitable Foundation of The International Association of Lions Club District 317C and CSR Project of Federal bank Hormis Memorial Foundation donated equipment to division of Pediatric Hematology and oncology of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal. The equipment handed over was a Bio Safety Cabinet Class II, Type A2 which is required to prepare chemotherapy under strict aseptic precautions ensuring safety to hospital personnel like nurses, doctors, and patients.

Handing over ceremony was organised at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal on Wednesday July 28. PMJF Ln H Vishwanath Shetty, district governor of The International Association of Lions Club District 317C PMJF was the chief guest of the program. Speaking on the occasion, he said “I would like to congratulate Kasturba Hospital's management and staff for providing all the treatments, including cancer treatment, at affordable cost. We are expecting many more grants from The International Association of Lions Club and our first choice of donation of such Grants to Kasturba Hospital Manipal".

In this simple handing over ceremony, MJF Ln Dr Nery Cornelio, 2nd vice governor, PMJF Ln Dr H Ganesh Pai - chairman of Sahaya Hasta Manipal Lions Charitable Foundation , Dr Shartah K Rao- Dean KMC, K Shine - manager of Federal Bank, Udupi. Dr Avinash Shetty- medical superintendent, MJF Ln Satishchandra, president, Lions Club Manipal, Dr Navin S Salins, coordinator, MCCCC, Dr Vasudeva Bhat, in charge division of Pediatric Hematology and oncology and other Lions dignitaries were present.
