Bantwal: Bus Plunges into Gorge at Marnabail, 3 Critically Injured

Bantwal, Sep 17:  A passenger bus plying from Mangalore to B C Road via Mudipu plunged into a gorge at Marnabail, near Melkar here on Friday September 17.






The mishap occurred around 11.30 am as the driver lost control of the vehicle while maneuvering a steep curve owing to the breakdown of steering-rack. 







There were nearly 25 passengers on board the bus. Sources at the mishap site, informed that 2 to 3 passengers were gravely injured and were admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore. Others have sustained minor injuries.

A case has been registered regarding the incident by Bantwal rural police.

    Dear Ravi,
    As Amar 100% right, there is no single ksrtc bust plying on this route. Since opening of this route, only private bus is occupied and ofcourse they offering good service as well in between competetion of available in every 5minutes. Don't be fool by commenting without knew the truth. God bless all of us.

    Only fools travel in these private buses..I always avoid them.. Take the ksrtc which are safer...
