Mangalore: Mandd Sobhann Announces 'Vishwa Konkani Yuva Mell’ on Nov 28

Mangalore, Sep 18: To mark the First World Konkani Cultural Convention, ‘Vishwa Konkani Yuva Mell’ has been organized Mandd Sobhann at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar, here on Sunday November 28.
In all, there will be five contests which include singing – solo and group, dancing- group, skit-group and compering. Team which secures highest points in all the five contests will be declared as the ‘Best Vishwa Konkani Youth Group’ and will receive cash prize of Rs 25,000.
Both Konkani and non-Konkani Youth from the age group of 15 to 35 years can take part in the contests.
Last date for registration is November 15. Only the first 20 groups registering their names will avail the opportunity to participate in the contests. Winners will receive attractive cash prizes, trophies and certificates. All the contestants will receive a certificate of participation.
Along with these contests, ‘Miss Konkani Photogenic’ and ‘Mr Konkani Photogenic’, ‘Miss Konkani World’ and ‘Mr Konkani World’ contests will also be held on the same day.
