Mangalore: Leaders Must Promote Youth - Bishop

Mangalore, Sep 18: “It is the need of the hour that the current leaders realize their responsibility towards the youth and try to promote them”, said Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza.

What are we doing today to promote leadership in the community; he questioned the delegates of All India Catholic Union who had come to attend the 56th general body meeting at Pastoral Center, Bajjodi here on Saturday September 18.









The Bishop further said that the life of community members must be made beautiful by providing them a God-loving, peaceful leaders.

Chief guest of the function retired High Court judge M F Saldanha said that these days there is lot of tension everywhere regarding various issues. It is the education and human touch which can change the scenario, he expressed. “I do not agree withy the minority concept because we have to live with in unity all communities to lead a rational life”, he advised.









Guest of honour MP Oscar Fernandes said that he’s is always with the community and will extend his support in all possible ways for the national good.  Blossom Oscar Fernandes was also present on the occasion.

Catholic Sabha Mangalore president Walter Cyril Pinto welcomed the gathering. Vice-president Allen Thomas Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks. Niezil Noronha compered.
