Moodbidri, Aug 2: The branch office of the Fernandes Group, which has etched out a name for itself in both India and abroad, opened its branch here on Sunday August 1. It was inaugurated by Celine Fernandes, mother of the promoter of the firm, Wilson Fernandes. Fernandes Group's newly opened branch is located at the ground floor of Prestige Towers near the bus stand here.
Fr Alban D'Souza, priest of St Lawrence Basilica Attur Karkala, delivered a benedictory address. He hailed Fernandes Group as a concern which has become popular for its efficient services including passport, travels, real estate etc apart from providing employment opportunities for the young. He hailed the company as a ray of hope for the youngsters.
Former MLC Ivan D'Souza, Daijiworld media managing director Walter Nandalike, Karnataka State Christian Development Council president Joylus D'Souza, Alva's Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva, central railway committee member and BJP leader K P Jagadish Adhikari, singer Herald Tauro who represented young popular singer Nihal Tauro, extended best wishes for a glorious future for the new venture.
