Mangaluru: St Lawrence Church gives Fr Peter Gonsalves a hearty welcome

Mangaluru, Aug 4: The new principal Fr Peter Gonsalves was cordially welcomed with a garland by the parish priest Fr Andrew Leo, assistant parish priest Fr Rupesh Tauro, former principal of St Lawrence School Fr Clifford Pinto and the vice president Reginald D’Souza, at St Lawrence Church, Bondel.

Fr Rupesh Tauro led everyone into prayer, and Fr Peter blessed the gathering. Fr Andrew Leo introduced Fr Peter to the parishioners of St Lawrence and presented a bouquet as a token of love on behalf of the parishioners of Bondel.

The St Lawrence English Medium School Bondel warmly welcomed the gracious presence of their newly appointed principal Fr Peter Gonsalves A warm welcome was rendered by vice-principal Sharel, prayer song by the staff teachers followed by a joyous and melodious welcome song by the staff members.

Later, on behalf of the teachers, parents and staff the new principal Fr Peter Gonsalves was felicitated by the correspondent Fr Andrew Leo. former principal Fr Cliflord Pinto, Fr Rupesh Tauro asstistant parish priest and the staff teachers head and vice president.

Former principal of St Lawrence School Fr Clifford Pinto introduced the new principal Fr Peter Gonsalves and the achivements of the school from past few years by handing over the school keys and school registers.

Parish priest Fr Andrew Leo on behalf of the entire administration, school staff welcomed the new principal. He said, "We also hope that you would contribute your best efforts to improve our school’s position on a better level with his support and prayers."

Fr Francis Crasta wished good luck to the new principal Fr Peter Gonsalves.

The St Lawrence PTA, school management committee wished the new principal Fr Peter Gonsalves good luck and all the best for his future endeavours.
