Udupi, Aug 6: District In-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Friday August 6 said that the central and the state government will suppress all terrorist activities in the country,
He said "Terrorists have succeeded in making coastal districts as their base. Terrorist activities are now spreading from Bhatkal to Kerala. Terrorist activities are being supported. We will suppress terrorist activities in any kind of situation. We will create an environment free of terrorism. Union and state governments from the past are trying to curtail terrorist activities. We will bring to the notice of the government to establish a National Investigation Agency (NIA) center in Mangaluru."
He further said, “I want to provide drinking water to the people of rural areas. I am interested in a portfolio which will be helpful in providing a house, toilet and electricity to the poor. The chief minister will provide an opportunity after studying personality and mentality. I will manage the given portfolio. As a minister, I will work for the people.”
Speaking on Covid-19 guidelines, he said, “We should work as per the Covid-19 guidelines. For the first time, I have come to the district as a minister today. Several workers came to congratulate me. After correcting our errors, I will try to provide good service to the people.”
Speaking of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on the residence of Congress leader Zameer Ahmed Khan he said, “If the ED raids BJP leaders, then ED is an independent organisation. If ED raids the residence of Congress leaders, is it an intentional raid directed by the BJP. It is better that the Congress corrects its mindset.”
