Bengaluru, Aug 10: The state government has taken out a circular which says that in the meetings and programmes held by departments of state government and those which fall under the affiliation of government instead of garlands, Kannada books should be given as a presentation.
The order taken out by the chief secretary says that this instruction should be strictly followed by all departments of the government as well as those who fall under the authority of the government.
The order says that in future instead of flower bouquets, garlands, shawl, fruit baskets and mementos Kannada books should be presented.
