Bengaluru, Aug 12: The portfolio allocation issue that cropped in the newly formed cabinet of chief minister Basavaraj Bommai is temporarily resolved. The issue will reach top brasses of BJP in Delhi after the Independence Day for further action.
Bommai succeeded in convincing minister Anand Singh in a marathon two hour meeting that was held on Wednesday, August 11. Anand Singh agreed to hoist the Indian tricolour on Independence Day at Vijayanagara. It is decided that the portfolio allocation matter will be appraised to top brasses in Delhi post-Independence Day celebration. Minister R Ashok and MLA Raju Gowda also participated in the meeting to convince Anand Singh.

It is said that Anand Singh will go to Delhi after Independence Day celebration to discuss the matter with top brasses and later Bommai will also visit Delhi.
Bommai clarified after the meeting with Anand Singh and said, “It is true that Anand Singh asked for a better portfolio. His appeal is considered positively and the same will be conveyed to top brasses in Delhi. As of now the issue is resolved. Anand Singh will hoist the flag on Independence Day at Vijayanagara.”
Minister Anand Singh also said that the Bommai has considered his request. He also added that he never said anywhere that he is going to resign. Before going to Bengaluru, however, Anand Singh had said in a press conference at Hospete that this might be a new political beginning or end, also expressing his unhappiness indirectly.
