Bangalore: KIADB Scam – Minister Katta Subrahmanya’s Wicket Expected to Fall

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Sep 27: The proverbial Damocles Sword has started hanging above the head of Katta Subrahmanya Naidu, minister for housing, after the issue of his son’s involvement in Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) scam came to the fore. His son is a city corporator. The Chief Minister (CM), by dropping medical education minister, Ramachandra Gowda, for some lapses in appointment to two medical colleges, has expressed himself against irregularities in departments, irrespective of whether they are grave or not.

The above step, taken by Yeddyurappa even as the case relating to the alleged irregular appointments was under the consideration of state High Court, now compels him to follow suit in the case of Katta, a close associate of the CM, even the party men feel. Lokayukta sources have said that the minister and his son, Katta Jagadish, are involved with serious irregularities in land acquisition procedures. Naidu, when he was the minister for large industries in the JDS-BJP government, has been accused of creating fake records to acquire government lands and making payment of compensation thereof. He is also accused of misusing the compensation amounts by claiming them in the names of farmers.

When contacted, BJP state president, K S Eshwarappa, refused to comment on the above issue. He said he feels it improper to say anything, as the issue is under the Lokayukta investigation. He added that the question of taking action against the minister will come up only after the receipt of report from the Lokayukta and after thoroughly examining as to whether he was actually involved with the alleged scam.

In the meanwhile, the CM visited ‘Keshava Krupa’, headquaters of Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh in the city, on Sunday and held discussions with the leaders there for over an hour. It is learnt that he elicited views of RSS leaders over the snowballing issue of Katta’s involvement with KIADB scam and the action he is expected to take against the concerned.

hi , Satish Kunder, Mangalore/Kuwait, Shri. Katta Subramanya Naidu rightly said to dinesh gundurao.

Hold your siddaramayya otherwise tomorrow he will go to jds. kumaranna is behind siddu.

All congressmen are making money illegally. Wherever they are, which party they represent is not a question here but minting money is the mantra of congress leaders.

    Mr. Langoolacharya, Belman/USA

Most of the politicians here in India have one or the other time was with congress since there was no other strong party that time. Mr Katta would have remained as tea boy if he would have remained in congress and so he must have taken wise decision to switch to BJP so that he can loot the state as he wishes.

We had leaders of erstwhile Dakshina kannada from Srinivasa Malya to Janardhana Poojary and T. A. Pai to Oscar but nobody can question their integrity. They might not have done work to the expectations of the people but had not indulged in any illegal means of making money. I know some of these leaders personally but their decency and simplicity is rare in today’s politics (compared to the arrogance of some BJP leaders in Karnataka)

But same thing can not be told about BJP MPs and MLAs from D.K and Udipi, only exception is Mr. Yogish Bhat and Mr. Acharya

We all know Karnataka is the most backward and corrupt state in the country.
Still this party wins elections. This is a big mystery and the Election Commissioner needs to investigate the following possibilities:
    1. Swindled money is used to buy votes.
    2. Voters are influenced with liquor.
    3. Religion is used to emotionally blackmail voters.

People of Karnataka gave an opportunity to this BJP only to see that these thugs to loot the state. It is full of rapists, looters, fraudsters, etc.

It is noted that Naidu who came from Thiruthani, Tamilnadu to Bangalore without a penny in his pocket. He started as a tea boy in a hotel in Bangalore. At this young age, he cheated his employer and till there is a record in Yeswantpur police station. Later, he started his job as a mason in building houses on contract basis and there also he cheated many people. He contested on BJP ticket in Shivajinagar constituency. He used to bring people from his native place and Andhra to cast bogus votes in Shivajinagar. Till there is a record in Shivajinagar police station against his cousin brothers for casting bogus votes. After that he became very rich by putting his hands in real estate and grabbed many govt lands in Electronic city areas. During his tenure as a minister for large industries, he acquired vast lands of farmers by paying meager amounts and allotted these lands for money. Many bogus industrialists got land in Industrial Areas by producing bogus company documents with bogus financials. Thus the yesteryears tea boy is now worth for more than 10000 crores. His godfather is Venkaiah Naidu. Whether this BJP govt is ready to handover the case to CBI?

KIADB depts. are institutions of corruption,it is in their blood. They have done worst damage to the agriculture lands & ruined the life of farmers in Yellur,Nandikur village(Udupi) for Nagarjuna coal based thermal power project by using forceful land aquisitions. The Govt. if it is serious must probe the assets of all KIADB officials, better if it is closed down

    All BJP Pseudos,

What say now??? It's 'corruption cancer' that has struck BJP Government in Karnataka and tumor is growing big and big everyday and will ultimately result in death of BJP Govt in karnataka.

What a shame!!! Yeddi & Co are looting the state in such a hurry that in 2 years every BJP MLA, Minister has amassed wealth equivalent to 60 years of Congress and Janta Dal corruption in karnataka.

"Party with a difference" has become "party with differences" & "Bhrasta Janara Paksha"

Every one in Bangalore knows Katta Subramanya Naidu & his son are biggest goondas and real estate mafias who have colluded with real estate barons and looted crores and crores of rupees.Majority of BJP MLA's from Bangalore are from real estate background. It's with this money power they think they can bulldozer any one. They have least respect for the law of this land and for people of karanataka.

I thought only Reddy brothers are looting the state but with this revelation it has become clear that more and more BJP leaders are into corruption.

If we compare the corruption cases of Congress in 60 years to the BJP in last couple of years, BJP has overtaken Congress with a very big margin and everybody in BJP are in competition of making money as if this is the only chance.

Where are our pseudo nationalist friends? What is your opinion on Katta Subrahmanya Naidu(ji)? I was shocked to see this man recently in one of the Kannada TV discussions using un-parliamentary words and gestures to Dinesh Gundurao of Congress. Now he has completely shown his pseudo nationalistic culture and let us see the reaction of Mr. Yedyurappa(ji)

The Voters were fed up of 55 years congress rule. Thinking that change of government would bring in better governance. Voters have been fooled by BJP leaders to such an extent that they are no better than Congress.

As I have said to my omments on said issue few days that we are today a population of 1.15 billion and mark my words in another 25 years from now 99% of Indian Population will be holding a BPL card. The 1% rich guys will be only the Political Leaders, Government Servants and Big Business Houses and their respective families. We have to root out this evil totally and completely.

We, today lack political leaders who take a definitive stand on any issue it may be Corruption, Naxalism, insurgency in north, separatist struggle in Kashmir and increasing Chinese threat among many which needs urgent attention. The politicians are busy increasing their Swiss accounts by literally selling the country. We need to groom new generation of politicians who are aggressive and pro-people.
