Daijiworld Media Network – Kasargod (EP)

Kasargod, August 20: Snehalaya and Vorkady church have planned to construct a house for a poor family at Vorkady here. Bishop of Mangalore diocese Dr Peter Paul Saldanha laid the foundation stone for the house.

The poor family of George Leo was struggling for a living with his wife and four children at Varkady.

Their current house was weak and it was not possible to stay in it as there was fear of its fall any time.

Snehalaya, which responded to the request made by the family, came forward to construct a house for them. Vicar general of Mangalore diocese, Fr Maxim Noronha, Varkady church parish priest Fr Francis Rodrigues, church parish pastoral council vice president Rony D’ Souza, Snehalaya founder Joseph Crasta, Olivia Crasta, Prakash Bondel and Santhosh Madanthyar were present. Geo Agrar compered the programme.
