Yeddy Bent Rules to Help Sons Profit: Kumaraswamy

Yeddy Bent Rules to Help Sons Profit: Kumaraswamy

Bangalore, Sep 28 (PTI):
The JD(S) Karnataka unit today demanded resignation of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa accusing him of indulging in 'favouritism and abuse of power' for 'ordering' denotification of lands held by his two sons, which had been acquired by Bangalore Development Authority.

Yeddyurappa took active role in forcing authorities to bend rules to register 26 guntas (point 65 acre) each in the name of his two sons, former Chief Minister and state unit JDS chief H D Kumaraswamy alleged at a press meet here.

The lands registered cannot be purchased as they had already been acquired by BDA and the Bangalore Urban Deputy Commissioner had passed orders awarding Rs 17.18 lakh compensation to the original owners, he said.

The land located at Rachenahally in K.R.Puram taluk, which had been notified by BDA was not in possession of owners Gowrramma and Panduranga, from whom Yeddyurappaa's sons purchased and in fact was held by former Housing Minister S N Krishanaiah Setty through General Power of Attorney (GPA),he charged.

These transactions had taken place on March 16, 2006 when Yeddyurappa was the Deputy Chief Minister in the JDS-BJP coalition government led by him (Kumaraswamy),and the lands were ordered to be denotified by Yedyurappa when he became Chief Minister in 2008,the JDS chief said.

Similarly Setty also became beneficiary by getting 16 guntas (point four acres) denotified for the "favours" he showed to Yeddyurappa's son in purchasing the lands over which he is GPA holder, Kumaraswamy alleged.

"This is only a tip of the iceberg. There are more such scandals in this government. We will bring them out. We will inform the Governor about this", he said.

Demanding Yedyurappa's resignation on moral grounds, Kumaraswamy said "he has no right to continue in power for a minute."

Yeddyurappa has denotified 2300 acres since 2008 after he became Chief minister, he charged.

"Let Yeddyurappa order Lokayukta probe into this", he said.

Dear Jossy, do you know how much it will cost to conduct assembly election, by implementing president rule in Karnataka? Please note that corruption was introduced to india by CONGRESS only which ruled almost 60 years. There is no use in blaming YEDIYURAPPA and team. Most of the Congress ministers in centre are facing corruption charges. This is for your kind attention .. In future please think twice before commenting on BJP Governance. JAI HO YEDIYURAPPAJI...

Without the ingredient of corruption in him, one will not join politics on his own. Only those who are dragged into politics to transform socialistic structure into market-economy are sincere in their work towards nation building. Rest all indulge in their own economy building.

If every one involved in corruption is to resign, where do we find ministers to rule the state or even country. These allegations are pot calling the kettle black. Each time one resigns another fills his place and gets opportunity to prove his mettle whether good or bad.

By hearing such news what citizens of India are feeling? I feel this all POLITICAL LEADERS must hang to death. Mr. KUmaraswamy was knowing Mr.Yeddi did this illegal long back during his time also. Then why he didn't order or put a case against him? I feel really funny about all these stupid political leaders. They all are shameless and mannerless stupids. We all must kick them to hell.

I am not surprised. This government led by Mr. Yedyurappa(ji) thinks that this is the only chance and want to use it to the full extent for all the advantages to self and family.

Now with this revelation, only few good people left in BJP like Mr. Suresh Kumar, Dr. Acharya and Ms Shoba Karnadlaje.

I like the comments of Mr.Ramesh Prab. Mr. Modi in Gujarat has achieved a great progress despite his record on issues like Godhra and its consequences. Gujarat is a model state in India today in terms of overall economic development including agriculture which was not a strong point of the state until now. Let Mr.Yeddy take some good lessons from it in the area of development.

All are corrupt in Indian politics. This is a fact taken for granted by all.

But these Gowdas don't seem to have any other work except seeking new allegations and resignation. Mr. Gowda, how many times will you ask for resignation? Too cheap!! Find out some big issue. May be that you are also a part of this new allegation... who knows? Olagina guttu shivane balla!!!

Now due to your frustration, please don't instigate violence on 30.09.2010. Please...

During intial days after installation of Yedurappa government, I remember, a coaching class for the ruling party MLAs/Ministers was conducted by Yedurappa wherein main faculty was Sri Narendra Modi CM of Gujarat. He exerted the participants on good governance as was practiced under his rule, with all sincerity. There was all round progress in Gujarat without any corruption and his party was being favoured repeatedly by the electorate. Here what happened after Modi's coaching.Whether Yeddy and company misunderstood Modi's lessons or unable to understand the contents. Now Modi has a responsibility to address on the issues why these students went wrong inspite his coaching. Now he may be feeling shame for having attended/conducted the coaching class in Karnataka!
