Bangalore: Govt Announces Two-day Holiday for Schools, Colleges

Bangalore, Sep 28 (PTI): The state government on Tuesday September 28 declared a two-day holiday for schools and colleges on September 30 and October 1 in view of the Allahabad court's scheduled pronouncement of verdict on Ayodhya title suit dispute on Thursday.

This has been done as a precautionary step, official sources said.

With the Supreme Court today dismissing a petition for deferring the verdict, the Allahabad High Court will deliver its verdict on the 60-year-old Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit on Thursday.

Why we are bothered about the Ayodhya verdict? Is it going to give us the daily bread and butter? Probably for politicians, but not for us/Indians.

Well we Indian's should come out of our religion/regional brackets. Think of every other person being yourself in his position. Everyone is a human being with same heart, same feelings. Are we going to eat the food asking whether it is grown/prepared by his religion?

Why we teach our children about religion? To hate other religion or respect other religion?

Why we need to provide our religion while joining schools?

Why we have reservations by religion?

Get ride of politicians biased on religion or who creates differences among ourselves based on religion. We are all friends, neighbors, relatives. Are we going to fight each other for religion? Wakeup my friends, we are Indians and more than that we are human beings. We have a good brain to understand what is good and what is bad. Let us not behave like animals.

I dont think so any side is going to be satisfied with the decision. Instead of raising this issue once again in form of verdict, it was better that this place was used for something like charity. A hospital could have been built so that people from every relegion would have benefited. This would have been the best example to show our unity.

If I were to give a decision on the Ayodhya issue, I would have got all the structures present demolished and made a playground for the children of all the communities to play. Children do not know the differences in religion, caste, etc. They are the actual Gods for us. Another option would be to build a library for the public.

As per my knowledge, this verdict should not be announced. They should postpone this verdict at least till the end of CWG & Australian Cricket Tour. What ever the result, there is an BLOOD BATH awaited shortly, through out India. We have handful of foreign guests, at least let them go out from this country happily. Now everybody says that what ever decession we will welcome, but some idiots are there around....

Our priorities are good education, food, shelter, and clothing. God is in our hearts and we do not need a religious monument to create communal disharmony.
I would be happy if our courts allocate this land to the Central Government who in turn will construct a school, college, hospital and a multi religious community center with a kitchen where all the underprivileged can cook and share a meal under one roof.
I am sure a lot of us would love to contribute / volunteer / work for a few days in this community center.

As per historians many mosque built by razing down the temples in India. Hindus lived peacefully with grave injustices over centuries. Using wisdom (by coming out of Congress iron grip), by withdrawing the claim for the Ram Temple-Babri Masjid land, Indian muslims could use this opportunity to demonstrate to the world that they are for Peace. After all, Kaaba in Mecca is the only place sacred for muslims as per Islamic belief.

Why Supreme Court gave stay in first place?

Dr Kiran is right in commenting about arbitary stay orders given by Indian courts including Supreme and High Courts without thinking about consequences of them...

I think CJI should be sent to US Supreme Court in a fact finding mission, to see how 9 persons in the bench handle themself inspite of their flaws....

Legal Eagle cum Law Minister of India Dr M Veerappa Moily can join him, if he is not busy at "Muddenahalli-Chickballapur" ....

Looks like after winning last Lok Sabha election from Chickballapur( After loosing 3 continuously...), he has become Sir M Vishveshwarayya-II(Moily I think you should be thankful to Mumtaz Ali Khan, former district minister there... Gurrr, Gurrrrr syndrome).
