Kasargod: Police arrest three in connection with theft at jewellery shop

Kasargod, Aug 28: Police team led by DySP Balakrishnan Nair arrested three people in connection with the theft that took place at a jewellery shop at Uppala in the district.

After many months of the theft that occurred at S S Gold Jewellery shop at Uppala the accused are arrested. They are identified as Velayudhan (46), resident of Namakkal in Tamil Nadu, Saidali (49), resident of Coimbatore and Rajan (51), a resident of Coimbatore.

The theft occurred on November 6, 2020. The thieves, who broke open the lock and entered the shop, had decamped with 65 gram of gold and two kilos of silver ornaments.

The police have confirmed that the arrested trio are inter-state robbers. They have cases registered against them in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other states.
