Chikkaballapur: State to observe 'Vaccination Utsav' once a week - Health minister

Chikkaballapur, Aug 29: To accelerate the pace of Covid vaccination, the state government has decided to observe 'Vaccination Utsav' one day in a week.

This was announced by minister for health and family welfare Dr K Sudhakar here on Sunday August 29.

The minister said that every week, one day will be observed as Covid Vaccination Utsav throughout the state.

Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai will soon launch this initiative, he added.

Speaking to the media at Sadali of Sidlaghatta taluk, Dr Sudhakar said, "We are aiming to administer a minimum of five lac doses of vaccine every day. In addition, one day in a week will be organized as 'Utsav' and on that day the aim is to vaccinate 15 to 20 lac people."

The minister also said that till August 27, four crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the state.

    if vaccination was manufactured through multiple companies by sharing formula, enough doses would have been there and by this time may be India would have completed vaccination . Then USTAV was more appropriate... Sabko apna chalana....!!

    It is the basic need of a citizen of a country to get vaccinated at the cost of the prevailing Govt authority when there is a pandemic. Instead of feeling ashamed of the fact not providing the jabs to all citizens on time they would like to do utsav, It would sound better if at all every week we had to respect a day as Memorial day for all who are deceased due to non availability of vaccination and negligence.

    What is the reward he got for marketing failed vaccines as only solution fake propaganda? As 80 % people have now antibodies against corona according to the scientists and ICMR survey we have reached herd immunity and no need to vaccinate anybody unless the vaccine producers payroll contains our politicians.
