Udupi: G Jagadeesha made joint secretary to CM, Kurma Rao appointed new DC

Udupi, Aug 29: IAS officer Kurma Rao has been appointed new deputy commissioner of Udupi district.

He will be replacing the current DC G Jagadeesha.

The order was issued by the state government on Sunday August 29.

An officer of 2011 batch, Kurma Rao presently serves as managing director of North Eastern Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKSRTC) in Kalaburagi.

Outgoing DC Jagadeesha has been appointed joint secretary to chief minister Basarvaraj Bommai. He took charge as Udupi DC in 2019 and has ably handled the two waves of the coronavirus pandemic that hit the district in April 2020.

    I am sure Udupi people are not happy to see that "Namma DC" is getting transferred..... But equally they should be proud that our famous "Namma DC" (famously called as in Udupi) becoming Joint Secretary to new CM too Anyhow.... heartly welcome to Kurma Rao too

    He was heading the Judicial inquiry into Dec 19, 2019, Mangalore police firing and death during the CAA protests. It is 2 years and the inquiry was not complete and the report is pending. You can understand his efficiency and the inquiry will be dead along with the dead people. What happened to the sand mafia everyone knows. Priyanka Francis and Koralpatti controlled them and the next DC let everything loose. So we don't see Priyanka and Koralpatti. But Jagadeesha gets a promotion. All the best for new venture. You have big political future

    Jagadeesha is not a hard working but smart working person...he knows how to please and whom to please in the top level politicians..anyone who gets promoted so soon is bound to have good clout among politicians.. our country and state is totally corrupt so you can imagine how smart is jagadeesha..he will definitely be the chief secretary 10 years down the line for sure..in fact he is not IAS I believe..

    G Jagadeesha was always a propoganda jeevi and nothing else he always enjoyed the media coverage for his personal benifits and nothing else, one can see the results of that in his current promotion .

    Well, congratulations to both of them, Jagadeesh sir is a simple honest and determined DC we are proud to have a DC like him, once he was invited as a guest to our college JNANASUDHa pu college, karkala. His speech was motivational to those person who are determined in there life and have curiousity and passion towards life. He have significantly controlled the present pandamic situation in our district. I hope that our new DC will also do well with his honest and determined effort.
