Puttur, Aug 31: The managing committee of Lord Mahalingeshwara temple here has taken a decision to allow parking of vehicles of Hindu devotees alone in the Devaramaru Gadde in front of the temple. The committee decided to bar without exception the parking of vehicles by others in the said space.
Those who are in the habit of parking their vehicles here and going away on other work have been warned of legal measures.
In the spacious field in front of the temple, not only the devotees coming to the temple, but also many others used to keep their vehicles. Hereafter, they cannot leave their vehicles in the temple's parking space. In the history of the temple, for the first time, a decision to allow only Hindu devotees to park their vehicles has been taken. A notice about this decision has been displayed in the Panchakshari Mantap outside the temple.
The notice mentions that the temple belongs to Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments department and that the Hindu devotees alone have the provision to park their vehicles in the temple parking space. The people have been informed that parking of vehicles by others has been compulsorily banned and that if any others are found to have parked their vehicles here, they will face legal steps.
