Have Done No Wrong, will Not Quit: Katta Subramanya Naidu

Bangalore, Oct 3 (PTI):
Under attack from the Opposition over an alleged scam, Minister Subramanya Naidu today denied any wrongdoing and ruled out his resignation, saying he was backed by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and the ruling BJP.

Naidu, the Minister for Information Technology, BioTechnology and Housing, claimed that there was a "conspiracy" by elements who were jealous of his political growth, and that he was being targetted as he belonged to a backward caste whose numbers were less in the state.

"No question of resigning. I did not commit any mistake. Chief Minister has no objections of my continuing. I will continue as Minister," he said adding he was backed by Yeddyurappa and the people.
He did not elaborate on who was behind the conspiracy but said attempts are being made to tarnish his image.

Naidu is facing allegations of irregularities in payment of compensation for lands acquired by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) when he was the Industries Minster during the JDS-BJP coalition Government.

His son Katta Jagadish, a city councillor, was arrested last week for allegedly bribing a witness connected to the investigation by Lokayukta into the alleged KIADB compensation scam, and is currently lodged in a jail.

Both the Congress and the JDS have sought his dismissal.

Naidu termed allegations against him as "baseless" and "far from truth" and accused those levelling charges against him as engaged in "hit and run case" without going in-depth of its background.

"It is not correct to put me and my family in the dock when the case is being investigated by the Lokayukta," he said.

Naidu criticised the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President R V Deshpande for demanding his resignation saying the latter had no moral right in this regard.
"We have details of 200 scams that took place during the earlier Congress and Janata Dal governments. Let Deshpande say first if anyone's resignation has been sought and obtained", he alleged, and charged Deshpande and his family with possessing land worth Rs 250 crore near Devanahalli on the city outskirts.

Naidu distanced himself and his family from Itaska Software Company, which the opposition has accused of being their "benami" firm, saying they have nothing to do with it.

Lokayukta N Santosh Hegde said yesterday that investigations had revealed that of the 325 acres acquired by KIADB for Itaska in Bangalore North taluk, a portion of the land belonged to Soubhagya, Subramanya Naidu's wife.

Are these Politicians are Street Mad Dogs? How they can live by cheating and dodging Karnataka people. Is there any one in Karnataka State dare enough to kick these stupid ministers to street? Soon every citizen will become NAXALITIES if these manners less BJP ministers not corrected themselves and respect the citizens.

Mr. Katta is telling in other word that the money what his son is made for his purpose, so it is his share. What I made is didn’t come in lime light and when it comes then let me resign. Great thinking and support by the No. 1 Cheap Minister of Karnataka Mr. Yeddi. Enough lieing and bluffing to Karnataka State people.

Yes Mr Katta. Why should you resign? The CM will certainly not ask you to do so because he himself has done the same thing favouring his son, daughter and son-in-law and you have pocketed some loose cash through your wife and son. It is a different matter that the son, a BBMP corporator, was caught red-handed by Lokayukta police on a charge of offering Rs 1 lakh bribe in your own house. Your party will not do anything because it had already white-washed another MLA, Sampangi, who was also caught red-handed by Lokayukta police in Legislators Home while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000. And don't talk about Deshpande to defend your great service to Karnataka. Deshpande has not misused his position to help his son, wife or other close relatives as you did. The JD(S) did not denotify prime land to help the Gowda family as your great CM did. Jai Ho BJP.

The CM and his thief colleague Katta has no moral right to continue as CM and minister when it clearly indicts them in the land scam. What more evidence you require? Katta you better remove your cap and see the betta (hill shrine) to sink your sins. By wearing cap, you can not become MGR of Karnataka. You are not a backward class and you are a rich class now and please do not use this tag to escape from accountability.

You are shameless person does not feel shame to say that 'Congress did scam and I also continue the same'. You may be backed by CM because he is also an offender. People of Karnataka are really fed up to see this lootings and misrule of BJP. If you have guts, resign and recontest in Hebbal and let us see your backward class supports you.

If congress men were invloved in 200 scams, what is he looking for??Is he fit to make such statements, when knowing they are involved why does he hide these since 7years??
From his statements he has proven himself guilty, there must be very strong /serious investigation after suspending him from his portfolio,in order to see there is no influence what so ever by him as minister on the proceedings.

you have not done anything wrong. Congress did it earlier & what if you do the same ? When father does it, certainly son will follow father. When Appa and his son is looting the state, nothing wrong in his followers taking part in it. Jai ho BJP...great going. Only two and half years left. Plan something like going against minority to win majority vote to come to power in the next election. Ofcourse there are still people who beleive you are the best.

Indian politicians have never done anything wrong and will never do anything wrong. He forgot the names of the people who are behind him, that’s very sad about his memory. Yeddyurappa will certainly back him, because situation today is “I will scratch your back and you scratch mine” but people will not back them, because these politicians dig the gold mine behind their back. I think our Karnataka ministers are going to beat Suresh Kalmadi’s record.

    Dear Mr. Khetta Naidu,
No politician ever makes any mistakes. They directly decend from up above. Mistakes is done by the common man n voters.
Every party accuses the other. When a scam is surfaced party in power says when the oppositon was in power they did 100 scams so we are entitled for at least 50.
    Wow that is justification.
Every politician says this is a conspiracy against me coz others are jelous. These are old excuses.
Anyway wasting time on you Mr. Khetta Naidu is no good.

This Subramanya Naidu has no moral values and the street culture is visible in his actions and talks. This thick skinned thief along with Reddy brothers may swallow complete wealth of the state if not punished now.

He has swindled money and land creating bogus company and should be tried under criminal act.
