Yeddy to Convene Special Session to Discuss Land Scams

Bangalore, Oct 3 (PTI):
Under attack from the Opposition, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today decided to convene a three-day special session of the legislature to discuss alleged scams that took place in the last ten years.

Yeddyurappa told reporters here that he would not respond to any of the allegations levelled by the Opposition till the beginning of the session, proposed in November first week, when he would reply to all the charges.

"In recent days, Congress and JDS leaders have levelled baseless allegations against our Government," he said, adding the session would have detailed discussions on "illegal scandals that is said to have happened in the ten years".

In the special session, the Opposition is free to bring up any issue, while the Government would come out with its own, he added. Instead of levelling allegations on the "roads and streets", the Opposition should discuss the issues on the floor of the House with documents, Yeddyurappa said.

He said former Prime Minister H D Devegowda, senior leaders from various political parties, religious leaders and intellectuals would be invited to witness the session which would be telecast live.

Yeddyurappa's announcement on the session came on a day when the opposition Congress stepped up its attack on the Government on the land scam issues allegedly involving Yeddyurappa and Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu.

Dear Mr. sujith nayak, Mangalore / Abu Dhabi

What can I say on your observations on my comments?

Now we have a chief minister who is busy using his constitutional powers for the development of his sons and another thief is using his constitutional powers in getting government land to the bogus company of his son. Do you want the people of Karnataka to support these actions?

Come on guys. You may be ardent supporters of BJP but at least have the courage to own up the mistakes. BJP supporters are suffering with a phobia that anybody criticizing BJP are Congress supporters. This need not be always correct.

Present BJP government is doing more damage to the state than development. So what you want me to do - praise this government or blame?

Denotification is not the problem . It will happen every year & so.. The problem here is denotifying the land to your son ,daughter & son -in law etc is crime. Yeddi should clarify whether all the previous CM's denotified the land to their relatives if so he can use his office to prove and get the justice to people who voted him.

Before convening special session, please consult RSS. They will advise you how to cover the scams. They have good ideas about it, like how the prisoners went on strike after your consultation with RSS when Governor objected mass release of prisoners. Good luck Yeddy, you and your corrupt Ministers are counting days.

Day is not far when corrupt BJP leaders/ministers will be chased around and beaten in public by people.

People are so fed up with the shameless loot that is at display from the past 2 1/2 years of BJP rule

When in power Yeddi & kummi were 'sangya-balya' & looted our state like never before but now accusing each other.Who's at loss?? people of karnataka.

There is growing anger in the public that will one day erupt & bring down this yeddi, reddy & chaddi's government.

There was a slogan after haalappa rape scandal,

"BJP yavarna mane olage bidbedi" & " Hengasare, BJP yavarna kandre doora iri"

    and now add to that

    "BJPYAVARANNA KANDALLI ODEYIRI!!"

    So yeddi & Co watchout!!!!

Mr. CM must remember that BJP came to power in the name of clean, sincere, development of state and truth. All these are in dust bin and always CM is blaming others. He is so dumb he does not realize where he will stand and what his position is. Any how it is really unfortunate to Karnataka State and the people who live there that they are ruled by such Culprits and donkeys. Hope people will understand the difference between the Religion and Nationality, Development and Corruption, Education and Political Statements. People must understand that Mr.Yeddi is always telling lies and bluffing the citizens and trying to make all sort of Drama in public as well as in Vidhanha Soudha.

There is a saying "To cover our own sins we start pointing out other people's sins". Now the present CM will start digging the past to cover his party's sins. Which means to say that there will never be a day with New Beginning. You dig my grave and I will dig yours. God Save this country as 77% of Population is earning is Rs. 20 Per Day and another 22% is left to reach Rs. 20 Per Day leaving 1% to Political Leaders & Family, Government Servants & fly, Business Leaders & Fly to earn Rs. 10 Lacs Per Day. Atleast government work will increase to issue more BPL cards and also PDS schemes.

Quoting precedent as a justifiable ground, will ultimately reduces every act of corruption a fundamental right to do same. Loot the public property and funds without any legal or moral consequences becomes the order of the day. Time heals every sin and hence gain time than react quickly.

Yeddi, you do not justify that opposition parties were doing scams and hence you do. In two years of your rule and it seems you have done scams equivalent to 20 years scams of opposition parties and hence you are a big thief.

This is another trick by Mr. Yedyurappa to divert attention from the real scam.

But this time Mr Yedyurappa may not be able to escape because everything is in black and white. This may be beginning of end of Mr. Yedyurappa.
