Mangalore, Oct 5: The Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DKDCC) organized a protest to condemn the BJP government’s alleged involvement in KIADB land scam and demanded the immediate drop of Katta Subrahmanya Naidu from the ministry. The protest was held in front of the deputy commissioner's office on Tuesday October 5.

Speaking on the occasion, vice-president of DKDCC Ivan D’Souza alleged that most of the ministers in the state government have been
involved in corruption in one or the other way. On a sarcastic note, he said the BJP that has already lost 9 wickets, will crumble with the loss of the tenth wicket, that is of Katta. He expressed hope that the government will be dissolved soon.

He also said that if allegation against Katta and his family members with regard to involvement in KIADB scam is proven to be
evident, he has the moral responsibility of resigning from his post.

Congress leader Sadananda Poonja criticized the government for its failure in all levels bringing a parallel with Congress party that has impressive history ever since it came into existence.

District Congress spokesperson M G Hegde alleged that BJP made use of the sentiments of people and came to power as it had thirst for power since 60 years.

Later an effigy of Katta Subrahmanya Naidu was burnt. Various Congress leaders and National Student Union of India members among others were present.

All leaders of the cutting across party lines are corrupt. Look who is protesting? Ivan Dsouza was with Janatha Dal and was a syndicate member in Managalore University. During his tenure it was a known fact that giving hard cash was a sure shot to get a admission in the University's most sought after courses. Congress leaders were involved in lot of land acqusitions and made a killing. Do these leaders have the courage to demand for a CBI enquiry on all the land deals in the last decade? MSEZ and EPP are the biggest land scams ever done and I am sure all these schemes had the blessing of Congress.

    Dear All,
None of the political parties and their leaders can be trusted. These are same fish in different bags. Probably current corruption charges and complaint about BJP is the proof/indication that JDS & Congress members under the BJP rule are losing access to illegal earning or are they jealous of BJP for them reaping all the fortune?

I think this is waste of time, coverage. Concerned authorities are investigating the scam. Why missleading people of Karnataka? Instead this get to the bottom of scam using RTI. Our opp. parties only interested in resignation of minister. only momentary benefits. Nobody is interested in progress of people or the state. I have never seen opp. parties raising social issues. Why opp. leader did not agree to give provide full autonamy to the investigating agencies like lokayukta? All are corrupt. Need young party with better ideology. Will our people ready to support? Please comment.

Its a constructive critics as an opposition party, thats wat we expect from a srtong opposition party. exposing the misdeeds, scams of the ministers, to help the people to know about the leaders who are ruling the state just for the sake of money, not for the wellbeing of the society. it will be helpfull to the people to think about the "change"...

Perhaps, everyone knows the story of corruption behind CWG. On what basis can these people fight against corruptions when themselves are caught in the wind. It is high time these party people study themselves & then point fingers at others.
