Mysterious Murder of Woman in Bajpe - Accused Arrested

Mangalore, Oct 6: Dinesh Gowda (28), accused of raping and killing his love interest Sarojini was arrested on Wednesday October 6 near Edapadavu here at around 9.30 am.

The accused who was working in a rubber estate in Oddur fell in love with Sarojini who was working there as a coolie. She then left the place and engaged herself in a tailoring job in Ganjimutt. She was in love with Naveen Poojary who owns a shop near her workplace. Later the accused began forcing her into a sexual relationship. On Sunday October 3 he allegedly raped and killed her at a farmhouse when she was going to her house alone.

Panambur circle inspector Valentine D’Souza and Bajpe PSI Shree Vinayak arrested the accused with the help of other policemen.

    just putting him behind the bars is not what we call justice done to sarojini.ELIMINATE HIM FRM THE SOCIETY IF LAW CANT DO JUSTICE PLEASE HAND IT OVER TO ME.. I WILL DO THE NEEDFUL BY ERASING THIS MONSTER. HE HAS LOST ALL THE RIGHTS TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD.

    Similar case got a sentence today . Life imprisonment awarded by the Fast track court after 5 years...Would anything change in India at all ???? The sentenced culprit would be let loose after a few years stating he is changed person .
    Its so eassy to murder and get away in India.. Lost all faith in the Judicial system..
    Just imagine , if there were any witness and need to provide the details of the day of the murder and are questioned after 5 years , would anyone remeber the details after 5 years ??? So the culprit gets away due to benefit of doubt.
    I guess taking law into our own hands would be the best thing to practice in our Independent India.
    No wonder so many Indians are migrating to other countries. Atleast in other countries ,they have peace and Justice..

    What makes the difference by catching the accused. Police might keep him inside for sometime and let him free later. Theese type of creatures should be shot at once...eliminate from this world for ever.

    Good work and very fast too.Keep it up Police Dept. Some readers have demanded killer to be hanged.I think it is not possible.Last hanging in India was in 2002 ! Capital punishment only on the record or on the paper,but not really applied.

    Dear All,
    One thing we should understand that, the law is only for the ppl who dont have political support. if the law apply for this gowda, why not to our Udupi MLA and our CM. both of them are accused for same offense.

    Good job by the police. This man will be in jail because no MP or MLA's are interested in him becasue not related to a big political fish. if he was related to such people then even police has to slow down to do the arrest. Now police quickly arrested him becasue no political involvement and a coolieman.

    Arresting him is not a big deal.But need to hang him as soon has possible,so that other culprit people can learn the lesson from this.This is not a silly thing what this guy has done with her,she lost her life and she will never come back again...

    why to show his passport size and full size view?? with the evidences execute the deserved punishment. Better make him work and the month end pay shoud go to the victims family. Not sure if there is a facility or just the facility for three time food?

    Appreciate the very prompt action of the Police in this matter. Now the job is only half done and police should gather all the possible evidence against the culprit including DNA to prepare a foolproof case. This guy should not come out of the jail and should get the death sentence for his crime.
