Mangalore, October 7: The Minority Cell of Dakshina Kannada (DK) District Congress on Wednesday October 7 held a special training for the Haj pilgrims. Ihram too was distributed on the occasion.

Inaugurating the camp, Mangalore Qazi Twaka Ahmed Musliyar quoting the Quranic verses said, "the best preparation for the journey towards Haj is being righteous. He added that the pilgrimage is definitely one of the most important blessing a Muslim can receive from the Almighty.

Mudigere Qazi Zainul Abideen distributed Ihram attire to the pilgrims.

Udupi Qazi Bekal Ibrahim Musliyar presided. Maulana Abdul Wahid Faizi, Khatheeb, Central Jum’a Masjid, Mangalore and SP Hamza Saqafi, editor, Moilanji, Kannada Monthly were the resource persons.

Over 200 pilgrims including women from the twin districts participated in the camp.

Moideen Bava, president, DK District Congress Minority Cell welcomed the gathering. Razaque Kukkaje compered the programme. Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza and K S Mohammed Masood among others were present.
